MARX TO ENGELS

IN MANCHESTER

[London,] 20 November [1861]

Dear Engels,

This is to acknowledge, in much haste, receipt of the £5,[1] also the Manchester Guardians which arrived the day before yesterday. I am now going straight to a SOLICITOR. My wife is very much affected [...][2] and I fear the thing will end badly, if there is a long STRUGGLE.

Salut.

Your

K. M.
