ENGELS TO PYOTR LAVROV[1]

IN PARIS

London, 3 September 1887

Danielson in St Petersburg has informed me of H. Lopatin's death.[2]

Have you had confirmation? I should like to think there has been some mistake.[3] If by mischance the news should be true, let me know and I shall at once send a tribute* to the S.D. of 2[4]

Yours ever RE.
